Generocksity Presents: I Love College. @ The Blarney Stone (3/17)
On March 30th, Generocksity drew a crowd to the Blarney Stone for a college-themed party celebrating some of the best years of our lives. Music from Chris Goodchild and DMO kept the party going all night long with over 150 young adults at the event. The event raised $1940, all going to the Pacific Parklands Foundation, an organization that works to enhance and protect regional parks in the Metro Vancouver area.
Generocksity Presents: (Re)New Year's Eve @ Bar None Nightclub (1/17)
On January 5th, 2017, Generocksity - Vancouver threw the much-anticipated second annual (Re) New Year's Eve party at Yaletown's most popular club, Bar None, with approximately 500 young adults in attendance. The party kept going strong beyond the midnight countdown, with beats from the local Common People DJs. All of the $6275 raised from the sold-out event are going directly back into the community to help the Providence Crosstown Clinic to support relief efforts for the current fentanyl crisis in Vancouver.
Generocksity x The Street Store Vancouver Presents: The Street Store Vancouver 3.0 @ 62 East Hastings Street (12/16)
On December 18th, Generocksity partnered with The Street Store Vancouver 3.0, an initiative that provides clothes for the homeless in the Downtown Eastside. Over the past two years, The Street Store has received over 3000 donations, has had 50+ volunteers, and has had over 500 shoppers that have come in and out of the store. Many in the local community benefited from receiving warm clothing from the Street Store, just in time for an uncharacteristically snowy Vancouver winter
On October 15th 2016, Generocksity threw our biggest party up to date, filling Gastown's FIVESIXTY nightclub to capacity, with all profits raised from the event to benefit the Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders. The Looking Glass Foundation is a BC-based charity founded in 2002 that provides support to individuals suffering from anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders through innovative programs to facilitate eating disorder prevention, early intervention, support, recovery, and sustained relapse prevention. The night opened with the much anticipated band Little India, who have quickly risen in the BC music scene. The party continued with Purple Zane of Move On Up DJs, and local DJ Brent D Mosher of d-mo brought the night to a thrilling peak. The event raised $6900 for the Looking Glass Foundation.
Generocksity and UBC AMS Presents: You Be Sea Music Fest @ UBC Student Nest Rooftop (9/16)
On September 5th 2016, Generocksity organized a fantastic and sold-out music festival with 6 incredible musical acts across two separate stages. All profits from this music festival benefitted Project Somos Children's Village; a unique Canadian charity that operates a Guatemalan orphan prevention project by managing two homes, which support six single-parent families who would otherwise face extreme poverty and separation. The event opened with a upbeat and folky performance by The Sam Tudor Band, followed by four of Vancouver's finest musicians including Jasper Sloan Yip, Matt and Sam's Brother (from JPNSGRLS), Alexandria Maillout, Smash Boom Pow. The night concluded with an awesome dance party hosted by one of Vancouver's most well known DJ duo, Common People DJ Collective. Due to our matching sponsors, this was our most successful event to date raising approximately $9500, with over 350 young adults in attendance.
Generocksity Presents: Saturday Night Live @ The G Spot 2.0 (4/16)
On April 2nd 2016, Generocksity threw an intimate comedy event with all profits benefitting The Vancouver Native Health Society, a charitable organization that provides comprehensive medical, counselling and social services to Vancouver's Downtown Eastside Aboriginal community. The event opened with a fantastic performance by UBC's very own Improv Troupe, followed by four of Vancouver's finest comedians including Ryan Mutama, Gavin Matts, Harris Anderson and Paolo Cesar Durena. The night concluded with an upbeat dance party hosted by local favourite DJ Brent Mosher. This very successful event had over 150 young adults in attendance and raised approximately $1500 for The Vancouver Native Health Society.
Generocksity & UBC AMS Presents: Last Band Standing @ The Pit Pub (03/10)
On March 10th, 2016 Generocksity partnered with UBC AMS (Alma Mater Society), to throw UBC's annual Battle of the Bands with a charitable twist. After a gruelling three-stage competition spanning over a month, the top 5 bands performed before a panel of esteemed judges for the chance to win the opener spot at Block Party and share the stage with the likes of Dan Mangan, Chromeo and many others. This year Generocksity collaborated with the AMS so that for the first time ever all profits from this traditional UBC event would be going to a local charity. The event was incredibly successful and raised approximately $1500 for Music Heals, which funds music therapy for patients in hospitals, senior's centres, AIDS & HIV programs and at-risk youth.
Generocksity & The Calendar Present: (Un)Lucky In Love 2.0 @ The Biltmore (02/16)
On February 12th, 2016 Generocksity partnered with The Calendar, UBC's largest and most recognized party organization, to throw our second annual joint charity party, (Un)Lucky In Love. The successful event was held at The Biltmore Caberet and 100% of the proceeds benefitted The Wanted Children Foundation, a locally-run charity which provides at-risk children in Nigeria with a home, education, nutrition and psychosocial support through their orphanage and primary school. The event was opened by one of UBC's most exhilarating and fun indie rock bands, System Skyline, which was a finalist at this year's acclaimed Last Band Standing competition. This was followed by a hip hop centred dance party hosted by the dynamic DJ duo, Killing Time. This very successful event raised over $3500 and engaged over 300 young adults.

On January 7th, 2016, Generocksity threw another sold out charity party with all proceeds benefitting The Lipstick Project, a local charity who's mission is to serve Canadians who are facing significant health challenges by offering light, love and compassionate care through free, professional spa services. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to relive a fancy New Year's Eve party accompanied by the soulful tunes of indie-rockers Parlour Panther followed by a fun and groovy dance party hosted by DJs Adam Fink and Brian Sea. This was one of our most successful events, raising over $7600 and engaging over 400 young adults.

On November 14th, 2015, Generocksity threw their first ever comedy event with all profits benefitting The Lookout Society, a charitable organization that houses over a thousand Vancouver adults-at-risk every night and provides many social programs to help them get back onto their feet such as vocational training and drug counselling. The event opened with a hilarious performance by UBC's fantastic Improv Troupe, followed by twelve of Vancouver's finest comedians. The night concluded with an electrifying performance by local punk-rockers Cheap Flavour. This historic event completely sold out with over 200 young adults in attendance and raised over $3450 for The Lookout Society.
On October 17th, 2015, Generocksity threw another sold out charity party with all proceeds benefitting the South Sudanese International Youth Ambassadors - SSIYA, to create a resource centre to empower and educate South Sudanese child war survivors to become agents of peace and hope in their communities. The event opened with a fantastic performance by Missy D and Roya B, two up and coming hip hop and soul extrordinaires, followed by an incredible performance from the smooth rapper Cogeta. The night concluded with a 2-hour Kanye West-themed dance party hosted by DJ Flipout. This very successful event raised over $6000 and engaged over 600 young adults.
Generocksity Presents: Get Lucky 2.0 @ Library Square (03/15)
On March 14th, 2015, Generocksity threw an intimate charity party called Get Lucky 2.0. This live music centered event was held at Library Square Public House. All proceeds benefitted the Delta Youth Support Link, which works with disadvantaged teenagers to give them support, mentorship, and the means of reaching self-empowerment. The event opened with an upbeat performance by the great Brock Phillips and was headlined by one of Vancouver’s most talented and fastest growing folk/alternative rock musicians, Layten Kramer and his fantastic band. The night concluded with a 2-hour 90s dance party hosted by DJ Keith Talent. Although this was our most low key and intimate event, it still brought out approximately 175 young adults and raised over $2200 for underprivileged youth in BC.
Generocksity & The Calendar Present: (Un)Lucky In Love @ Republic Night Club (02/15)
On February 13th, 2015 Generocksity partnered with The Calendar to throw a charity party called (Un)Lucky In Love. The sold out event was held at Republic Nightclub and 100% of the proceeds benefitted Tanzania Heart Babies Fund, a UBC grassroots charity, and was responsible for singlehandedly funding life-saving heart surgeries for two children in Tanzania. The event was opened by one of UBC's most exciting and fun hip hop/rock band, 2 Doges & A Couple of Baudes. This was followed by an incredibly soulful performance by Laydy Jams, a 4 piece R & B group, and an electrifying performance by one of Vancouver's most up and coming rappers, Cogeta, who opened for Wacka Flocka Flame in Vancouver in April 2015. The night concluded with a 2 hour dance party hosted by verteran DJs Made in Arcade and Christian Flores. There were over 550 young adults in attendance, helping to raise over $5300 for the Tanzania Heart Babies Fund.
Generocksity Presents: Welcome Back Bash @ Joe's Apartment (01/15)
On January 16th, 2015, we organized Generocksity's Welcome Back Bash. The sold-out event was held at Joe's Apartment Nightclub and 100% of the proceeds benefitted the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (DEWC). The event was opened by one of UBC's most reputable upcoming musicians, Sam Tudor. The energetic 6-piece funk collective, Jaguar, headlined the show. The night concluded with a 2-hour dance party hosted by veteran DJs Zeus and Sid Smooth. We organized a Karma Bar, from which all tequila shot profits went directly to DEWC. There were over 375 young adults in attendance, helping to raise over $5100 for marginalized women and their families at the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre!
Generocksity Presents: Good Deeds & Dirty Beats @ Republic Night Club (10/14)
On October 18th 2014, we organized Generocksity Presents: Good Deeds & Dirty Beats, which was held at Republic Nightclub and 100% of proceeds benefited Ronald McDonald House BC. This event began at 10pm with a live performance by one of UBC’s most reputable bands, Laydy Jams, a 4 piece hip hop and soul group. This was followed by an electronic dance party hosted by two of Vancouver’s formidable upcoming DJs Alex Volney and Mike Christianson. The night concluded at 1am with a set by DJ Ryan Trax, who has performed alongside world renowned DJs such as Stevie Aoki and Baauer. In addition, we organized a Karma Bar in which all sales from the purchase of Olmeca tequila shots (donated in kind) went directly to Ronald McDonald House BC. This proved to be our most successful event to date, with over 500 young adults in attendance and raising over $6300 for sick children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House BC.
Generocksity Presents: Sounds of Summer @ The Backstage Lounge (07/14)
On July 17th 2014, we organized an intimate charity concert with all proceeds proceeds benefitting The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC). This event consisted of three extremely talented BC bands that included a wide array of genres from folk to alternative rock and even jazzy funk. In addition, Howe Sound Brewery generously donated beer from which all profits went to our showcase charity in addition to all ticket sales, culminating in raising over $1500 specifically to fund the food program within DEWC’s shelter for battered women.
Generocksity Presents: Get Lucky @ Library Square (03/14)
On March 17th 2014, we organized a charity party with 100% of proceeds benefitting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. This event began with live performances by two prominent local Vancouver bands, Rebel On A Mountain and Jaguar, followed by a short speech by a volunteer of Canuck Place, explaining the vital role which the hospice plays in the lives of many families, and concluded with a dance party hosted by the “in-house” DJ of the venue. In addition, we raffled off a Canucks Jersey signed by Henrik Sedin (donated by Canuck Place) and received all sales from the purchase of a specific beer which was donated in large supply by Phillip’s Brewery. In all we had over 400 young adults in attendance and raised over $3000 for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Generocksity Presents: Grooving for the Kids @ Fanclub (11/13)
Our first ever event was held at The Vancouver Fanclub in late November of 2013 with all proceeds benefitting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. This event consisted of three talented local bands of which the headliners, The Oceanographers, would later be invited to perform at the prestigious Squamish Music Festival in 2014 and the openers, Rebel On A Mountain, would later perform alongside Dan Mangan and Adventure Club at UBC’s 2014 Block Party. In addition, we raffled off a hockey stick signed by the entire Canucks team and conducted a telethon leading up to our event, which in addition to ticket sales raised over $2750.
